More About Nelson

Nelson Rodriguez MA, BCBA; is a board certified behavior analyst.  He earned his master's degree in a small university outside of Chicago, Illinois and sat for his boards examination at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville Tennessee  He has provided people with positive behavioral supports in Illinois, Nevada, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas.  In the many years of practice, he has learned to effectively communicate the nuts and bolts on how to design environments that help develop and strengthen positive behaviors for people with developmental disabilities.  Moreover, Nelson understands the importance of  showing staff how to develop and strengthen those positive environments and behaviors.

Although his practice takes him back many years and he can often be found showing off the latest photos of his three grandchildren, he has a youthful spirit and humorous dispossession. He recalls his first years as a behavior analyst as "a disastrous time due to my inability to communicate complex behavioral issues in a language that the team could understand."  Over the years, Nelson has been fortunate enough to have been mentored by experts in the field who have helped sharpen his technical and person-first perspectives. Nelson offers a fresh, common sense, down to earth approach to behavioral challenges of all sorts.  His many years of working alongside direct care staff in helping to change the behaviors of service recipients has equipped him to becoming a sought after behavior analyst.

Nelson has been traveling a lot; providing behavioral services in many diverse settings... but he wants to stay put now.  His three adult children and three grandchildren live in Kentucky and this is where Nelson wants to stay... at least for five years
